About Trooper Sanchez

INTRODUCTION: CMPSA staff told us during our interview questioning that none of them had ever met Trooper Sanchez in person nor was there ever any correspondence (written, fax, telephone, etc.) between him, the MA State Police to CMPSA at all. Mr. Baril stated that he only learned of this MA State Police mystery when out of the blue, a document arrived in the mail on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. It was a letter from Trial Court of the Commonwealth - Uxbridge District Court and stated "A hearing will be held at this court before the Clerk-Magistrate on May 10, 2006 at 10:00am to determine whether the application of Trooper Christopher Sanchez should be granted for the issuance of a complaint against you for the following offense(s):" {three charges are listed} and states "alleged to have occurred on 12/05 & 05/05 at Uxbridge. You must attend this hearing and may be represented by counsel if you desire." A carbon copy (cc) mailed to "Trooper Christopher Sanchez, Springfield State Police".

Mr. Baril stated to us that he was beyond words in shock that now the MA State Police, in Springfield, having never been in Springfield, is being charged with criminal offenses under MA General Laws (MGL) that carry fines and possible jail time which in turn drastically effects Mr. Baril's full-time employment and would now create a criminal record in the court systems as well as the Massachusetts police computer system.
